Creating Cozy Corners Inspired by Feline Elegance

The "Elegance of Cat" design stands out with its unique properties and strengths. The foyer serves as a functional space, separating the inner and outer areas while providing a sense of security for the clients. The layout of the public area is intuitively structured, combining different materials and decorative arts to create an exquisite impression.

The realization of this design incorporates various materials, including dawn white stone, titanium-plated metal, insulating glass, sandblasted glass, gray-black veneer, natural walnut veneer, and Inkiostro Bianco. These materials come together to create a harmonious and elegant living space.

Spanning approximately 145 square meters, the interior of the residence features a living room, an open kitchen and dining room, a study room, two bedrooms, and three bathrooms. The design seamlessly integrates functionality with aesthetics, providing a comfortable and stylish living environment.

The "Elegance of Cat" design was brought to life by Jumu Chiang and Mei Ru Jiang. Their collaboration resulted in a space that not only meets the clients' requirements but also exceeds their expectations. By reimagining the original layout of the house, the design team transformed a room into a dressing room for the main bedroom, enhancing the practicality of the space. Additionally, the removal of a physical wall created an open-style study room, further optimizing the functionality of the residence.

This stunning design project was completed in March 2018 in Taichung City, Taiwan. The location, with its expansive park views and lush greenery, provided the perfect backdrop for this elegant residence. The clients' refined taste and appreciation for aesthetics served as the foundation for the interior design, which aimed to create a warm and secure atmosphere throughout the entire space.

One of the notable challenges faced during the design process was the use of the special Inkiostro Bianco material for the dining room walls. Achieving the right balance between scale, proportion, and space was crucial to make the mural feel like an extension of the room. The designer meticulously simulated different results until finding the perfect balance, describing the experience as rare and enjoyable.

The "Elegance of Cat" design is a testament to the designer's ability to transform inspiration into a tangible, functional, and aesthetically pleasing space. It has been recognized for its excellence and innovation, receiving the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that meet professional and industrial requirements, integrating best practices and technical characteristics to create a better world.
